Medieval Chess Set – Hand-Carved – Wooden Box

A magnificent handcrafted chess set with each piece individually carved, with the exception of the rooks and pawns. The set is designed with a medieval theme and comes with a splendid large wooden storage box, also handmade. The box features a metal chain to hold the lid in place when opened. The queen measures 12 cm with a 4.2 cm base. The box measures approximately 39.5 x 25.5 x 11.7 cm. All pieces are felted. The set is in very good condition; the pieces are impeccable and free of any damage. The box is also in very good condition, with nothing to report aside from a few minor scuffs and signs of wear. Few chess sets are hand-carved; most pieces in chess sets are turned, and some sets are also machine-produced. This model is a true artisanal set, hand-carved through the meticulous and painstaking work of a sculptor. Crafted with great taste, it possesses an air of authenticity and tradition.
